Mario Balotelli has been named in the Italian squad for the first time since 2018 as the former European champions were in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
The former Manchester City and Liverpool striker, 31, has not played for his country since September 2018.
Balotelli is one of 35 players called up for a three-day training camp after scoring eight goals in 18 league matches with Turkish club Adana Demirspor.
Italy will face North Macedonia on March 24 in the World Cup semi-finals.
Balotelli has a record of 14 goals in 36 appearances for his country, but has played only three games since the 2014 World Cup.
This week's training camp is one of Roberto Mancini's last chances to get his players together ahead of the North Macedonia match.
Balotelli worked under Mancini previously at Inter Milan and Manchester City.
